Hang in there, Kari. What a wretched start to your day. Have the nurses told you about the wonderfulness that comes when you take Advil every 6 hours and Tylenol at the midpoint? (Take the Advil at 8 AM, the Tylenol at 11, etc.) That way, there's always some kind of painkiller floating through your system. It makes a huge difference. Please don't forget to eat--that will make you feel better, too.

You have every right to pity party all you need to! I remember being so depressed that I couldn't make it halfway down my block, more than two weeks after my C. Ugh!

It's hard to find a balance between letting people help, and doing it your-own-self-damnit! Hang in there. We all think you're totally amazing! Because you are! :)

You've done an incredible job and we're all here to listen to you and tell you you're wonderful! I hope you get some kangaroo time with little Ike and his fuzzy head today. Babies are instant pick-me-ups! (And don't forget to eat!) :)

Sending my love - and a prescription for chocolate.

Oh mama-- a root canal on top of it all? Say yes to the nitrous. That's my only advice.
