Yeah. What I was thinking. Only, I didn't have the words for those thoughts. Thanks for pointing out the BS.

Donkey kicks all around!

Preach it, sistah!!

you tell them!
that's redunculous.

outstanding post! you took the words right out of my mouth!

It's the COA employees trying to save their jobs/asses. As I'm sure you well know, there are more city employees per capita here than any other city in Texas & we're certainly not the largest city in Texas...

Amen! My thoughts EXACTLY. How do we communicate this directly to said Asshats?

AMEN, sista!!!

I just got off the phone with park and recs......the fountains are not on and they do not know when they will be on. Whenever I used the term 'splash pad' she said "You mean fountains?"......so anyway she informed me that the 'fountains' were never intended for kids and it was only for show. She went on to tell me that the water is not safe to be in. WTH? We've been going there for THREE YEARS! This is a conspiracy. And my kids are only 4 and they get knocked down at Brushy Creek bc there are way too many damn people there. So what's up? Should we march on the pad??? lol
Shannon Best

and those ass hats need to take the pictures of children playing in the 'fountains' off their website! WTH???

I'm pretty pissed off. I was ready to load up and someone sent me your site! I would have gotten all the way down there with twins who are 4 and I would have been in HELL!

Here is the link they still HAVE UP!

Ummm...the website that Shannon posted lists the fountain as a place for water play....

Hi! Would you like to be interviewed by KXAN tomorrow (Tues.) morning? I'm the one who has organized a Facebook group around this and Jim Swift will be doing interviews with folks. Just let me know!

Wish I could, Jennifer, but I think my mommying is going to keep me busy. My son is pretty sick tonight, so I'm afraid the morning is going to be full of doctor visits.

I hope someone mentions the website, though. (That Shannon pointed out above.) Not only the pictures, but the wording.

"Improvements to the filtration system are planned in 2010 to help keep up with the high usage."
